The answer will depend on the size and scope of your project. You also need to think about the space you have available for the skip. The following is a rough guide to what you can expect to fit in each size bin:
- 2m³ = 8 Wheelie bins – Ideal for small amounts of garden waste or clutter
- 4m³ = 16 Wheelie bins – Ideal for house clearances, deceased estates and some white goods disposal
- 6m³ = 24 Wheelie bins – Ideal for larger projects including house renovations and removals

What can I put in a skip bin?
Our bins are suitable for the following types of general, business and construction waste:
- General waste: This includes general household waste such as cardboard, paper, timber, clothes and toys. You can also dispose of white goods with the exception of fridge/freezers and computer/electronic equipment.
- Construction waste: This includes waste materials such as bricks, steel, scrap metal, glass, concrete, pavers and ceramics. Basically, any waste building material that is suitable for recycling.
- Dirt & Soil: This includes garden waste or spoils from an excavation project. There are strict weight limits for bins, so be careful not to overload the skip. We will advise you on maximum weight limits when you make a booking.
- Green waste: This includes garden waste such as woodchips, tree branches, weeds and grass clippings. Soil and dirt will need to be put in a separate skip.
